Well the day that no one thought would come has come and gone. We were married on March 21, 2009. The day was beautiful, the weather cooperated nicely & our family & friends helped make our day complete. The day started out with my hairdresser MIA (missing in action). Luckily, half an hour later, another hairdresser stepped in and saved the day. She did a fabulous job on my hair. After getting my hair done I went back to the house and picked up two of my close friends and off to the beautiful Hilton Hotel we went to get ready for a fabulous evening.
The wedding ceremony was held at the top of South Mountain, where the limo driver nearly back out, because he was afraid of going off the road and over the cliff in that big stretch limo. I offered to do the driving for him up the mountain since I obviously have no fear of winding, dangerous roads after having been a long distance truck driver for so many years in my past. Once on top of the mountain where the view was absolutely spectacular the perfect setting for the beginning of new life together. Wayne was waiting patiently at the top, for the limo to arrive carrying the love of his life, his beautiful bride to be:)
We were surrounded by many of our family and friends. Our dear friend Bill Post, officiated our ceremony. He said that was the first wedding that he had ever preformed and hopfully it would be the last. He did a really great job, thanks Billy! There were many people who had bets on whether or not the ceremony would actually take place, but we showed them.
After the ceremony was over and pictures taked, we proceeded to the reception which was held at the Hilton Hotel in Mesa, AZ. The banquet room was beautifully decorated and the food was absolutely delicious. The cake which Wayne designed turned out to be, not only beautiful, but delicious as well. Charlie Parker was our DJ and he made the night go very smoothly and made it a lot of fun for everyone there. Dan Alexander, a close and dear friend, sang our song, "Look at Us", by Vince Gill. It was a very emotional moment as we took the dance floor and danced to our song for the first time as husband and wife. Everyone had a great time eating, dancing and drinking the night away. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect ending to OUR perfect day.
